25 | On 9/19/2022 at 12:04pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Licensee Anita Banerjee for an Unannounced Annual Inspection. Present during the inspection was the Licensee and her helper, Amitha Kini. Licensees husband was in the home during inspection, but not present with the children and in an off-limits area. Present during the inspection was seven (7) preschool children and three (3) infants. The facility currently operates from 8:30am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
ON LIMITS AREA: Entire First Floor (Living Room, Family Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Downstairs Bedroom, Downstairs Bathroom and Backyard)
OFF LIMITS AREA: Entire 2nd Floor, Laundry Room and Garage
ISOLATION AREA: Living Room
The facility is a two story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home was observed to be neat, clean with ample age appropriate materials for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee stated there are no firearms and no pets in the home. LPA did not observe any harmful bodies of water in or around the home.
The home has one (1) fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher in the pantry. There is one (1) working smoke detector in the downstairs bedroom and at the top of the stairs. There is one working carbon monoxide detector in the living room above the fireplace. The electric fireplaces in the living room and family room have been taped and are not hot to the touch, making them inaccessible and no hazard to the children in care. The stairs leading to the second floor of the home is blocked and made inaccessible to the children in care. The home is equipped with central heating and air for proper ventilation.
