25 | On 10/3/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monica Mathur conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection at Safari Kid Walnut Creek. Staff stated Director Noura Halabi was not present at the center today. They informed Autumn Cazenas, Director of an affiliated Safari Kid center in Walnut Creek and she came over to this location few minutes later.
Purpose of today's inspection is to follow up on an incident reported on 8/28/23 by the center to Licensing Department about a parent who expressed concern that inappropriate behavior allegedly took place between day care children.
Today 10/3/23 LPA conducted room inspections, observed staff supervision and ratios. Facility was in ratio during inspection and staff were actively supervising children at all times. LPA conducted additional staff interviews and obtained information. At this time there is no information or evidence to prove any inappropriate behavior took place among daycare children on the specific date mentioned by parent. There is no evidence of lack of supervision by staff. The alleged concern is unfounded at this time and does not need any further investigation. However center staff is reminded about the importance to supervise children visually at all times, especially in blind spot areas of rooms, bathrooms and outdoor yard.
No deficiency was cited today. This report was reviewed with Director, Autumn Cazenas. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED, MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 DAYS. |
