On 6/26/2023 at 1:14pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Licensee Qi Zeng for a Required – 1 Year Inspection. Present during the inspection was the Licensee and four (4) preschool age children. Licensee’s two (2) children were in the home upstairs in off-limit areas. Licensee lives in the home with her husband, their seventeen (17) year old daughter and thirteen (13) year old son. The facility operates from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

ON LIMITS AREA: Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Family Room, Downstairs Bedroom
OFF LIMITS AREA: Entire 2nd Floor, Downstairs Laundry Room and Garage and Backyard
ISOLATION AREA: Downstairs Bedroom

At 1:25pm LPA observed the backyard of the home where two (2) honeybee boxes were found. LPA observed many active bees around the boxes in the backyard. Licensee informed LPA that the bees belong to her daughter and are being used as a research project. Licensee stated she uses the nearby neighborhood park for outside play. LPA informed Licensee that for the safety of the children the backyard must be permanently placed off-limits while the boxes are outside. A new facility sketch will be provided to LPA notating the now off-limit area.

The facility is a two-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home is observed to be neat, clean with ample age-appropriate materials for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, personal medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee has stated that there are no firearms and no pets in the home.
