25 | On 3/17/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Guirit met with Licensee, Angela De La Rosa for an unannounced required - 1 year inspection. There are no children present during today's inspection. LPA did review one child's file. Files are complete. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection. Days and hours of operation are Mon - Fri, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The home was toured with licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. The home is two story. The home consists of a living room, formal dining room (classroom/play area), family room, kitchen, five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, laundry room, loft, garage, and back yard. The ON LIMIT AREAS are the living room, formal dining room, first floor bathroom, kitchen, and center portion of the backyard. Licensee stated that she would like to make the loft on limits for the older children in her care (six years old and up) and will be now part of her on limit areas. The remainder of home is OFF LIMITS which will be inaccessible by closed and or/locked doors, safety gates, and visual supervision. There are ample age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. There is an above ground pool to the right of the back yard that has a fence that is at least five feet surrounding it. All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of reach of children.
The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector, working telephone, and first aid supplies. There is centralized heating that is working and in good repair. Licensee states there are no firearms in the home. The formal dining room (play room) will be used as the isolation area for ill children. She conducts fire/disaster drills every six months (last was on 01/31/22). Her Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificates are current and expire August 2022. Licensee's Mandated Reporter training is current and must be renewed by 2/23/24. Licensee provided a copy of child care roster to LPA for review.
