On 08/09/2023 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jaleesa Jackson and Julia Placencia arrived unannounced for a Required 1 Year inspection. LPAs met with director Arianna Andrade. There were 66 preschool age children and 11 staff members present during the inspection. The facility was toured for a health and safety inspection. LPA Jackson inspected the Preschool Component of the Child Care Center. This center also has an Infant Component license number 072408209. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

During the visit LPA observed that all disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible.. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and floors are free of tripping hazards. All storage containers for solid waste have tight-fitting covers that are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Cots are provided and labeled for each child. Menus are posted and visible for parents to view. Medications are inaccessible to children. There are no pools or similar bodies of water at this facility. There are no firearms on premises.



The facility is operating within its licensed capacity. The facility is within ratio today with one teacher supervising no more than 12 children. LPA verified both opening and closing staff have current CPR/First aid training. The facility uses an app called MYBRIGHTDAY for sign in and sign out.

The kitchen/food preparation and storage areas appear to be clean and free of evidence of rodents, and food is protected against contamination. The preschool provides AM and PM snacks and lunch to children. The menu is posted on the board. The facility uses a color coded placemat system for children with allergies and special dietary restrictions.

 LPA Jackson observed the outdoor play area The infant play area is separated from the preschool play area. The outdoor play area is also fenced all around with secured gates. Outdoor activity space and playground equipment observed to be safe and free of hazards. Climbing equipment is properly anchored to the ground with adequate and appropriate cushioning material to absorb falls. There is a shaded area provided for the children.

Fire/Disaster drills are conducted monthly, and a review of the log shows the last drill was conducted 07/26/23. Required licensing documents were posted. Fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors meet State Fire Marshall standards.

At 11:00 am children and staff records were reviewed. All teachers present today meet the qualification requirements. Staff have required immunization and mandated reporter training.

There were no deficiencies cited on todays visit.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test.

For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1- CCP).

LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP.

LPA referred Director to the Department website for lead: Lead Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Information.


This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.

Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
