The outdoor area is fully fenced and there is an overhang from the building that will provide shade. There is also an umbrella set up on to provide additional shade. The outdoor play area is free from defects of dangerous conditions. The outdoor toys and equipment are in good condition and age appropriate. The indoor gym will be used as an extension of the outdoor play space and will be used for gross motor activities. A waiver to use this as an extension of the outdoor area has been received.
The Evaluation of Director Qualifications (LIC 9096) was completed by Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Mayla Mendoza on 6/29/20, and certifies that Eunhee Yoo Im is qualified as a fully qualified preschool director.
Mandated reporter, reporting requirements, civil penalties, unusual incident and injury reporting and fingerprint requirements were discussed today. The owner is also being informed of the web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms, and the owner is encouraged to email ChildCareAdvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list. The owner is also reminded that mandated reporter training is required for all staff and is to be renewed every 2 years at www.mandatedreporterca.com.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The facility will be issued a provisional preschool license, with a maximum capacity of 42 children, effective today July 20, 2020. The new requirement for Lead Prevention training as part of Preventative Health and Safety, effective July 1, 2020, will need to be completed before the regular license is issued. This report shall remain on file for 3 years. An exit interview was conducted with the applicant. |
