25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Julia Placencia arrived at 1:40pm for an unannounced Required-1 Year Inspection, and met with Licensee Cuihong Liao. Present for this inspection were three infants, nine preschoolers, and fingerprint cleared helpers Yuehong Fang and Weilu Li. Also residing in the home are the licensee's fingerprint cleared spouse and two children (ages 12 and 14 years old). The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm.
ON LIMITS: Main play room, second play room, bathroom, backyard.
OFF LIMITS: Remainder of home is off limits, including the back unit. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. Licensee is aware she must contact Licensing, so that an inspection can be completed prior to changing an off limits area to on limits.
The home is single story, which is neat and clean, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The outdoor play area is the fenced patio, and is free from defects and dangerous conditions. The main play area is gated from the rest of the house. There were ample age appropriate toys that were observed to be safe and in good condition. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection. Fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detector meet State Fire Marshall standards. The fireplace is blocked by a play kitchen and baby crib. Per licensee, the fireplace is never used. Per licensee, there are firearms in the home, which are stored/locked in an off limit area and the ammunition is stored separately. The licensee conducts and documents Fire/Disaster Drills at least twice a year, and the log indicates a drill was conducted 11/21/19. All required licensing documents are posted and visible for public review.
