25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Caroline Colson met with Chawmein Hudson for an unannounced random required inspection at 9:24 AM. Assistant Jalecia Ingram arrived during the inspection at 9:40 AM. Assistant Johnia Saucer arrived during the inspection. There are 5 preschool children and 1 infant present. One child's record was reviewed by the LPA and the licensee on 3/4/2020 at 10:00 AM. C1 has immunization records available in the file. Licensee has complete facility records. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection.
The home is a two story home. The home consists of a living room, dinning room, kitchen with eating area, 4 upstairs bedrooms, 2 upstairs bathrooms, 1 downstairs bedroom, 1 downstairs bathroom, a play room which is adjacent to a sun room, unfenced front yard and fenced back yard. The off limit areas are the entire upstairs area which is barricaded by a gate. Ms. Hudson will use her fenced back yard for outdoor play. The home has a 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a working smoke detector and a working carbon monoxide detector. There are ceiling vents for heat and the furnace is behind a locked door. Ms. Hudson states there are no firearms in the home. The living room is the isolation room. She conducts fire/disaster drills every six months. Her infant CPR and First Aid certificates are current and expire on April 13, 2021. She has a first aid kit. There are no pets.
This facility is not providing Individual Medical Services - IMS at this time. LPA discussed IMS services and the requirement to create a plan of operation. Specifics on the plan can be found in the family child care home evaluator manual (FCCH EM) Policy 102417.
