25 | On 11/4/22, a Case Management Visit was conducted for removing a toddler option by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Melissa Guirit and Melissa Domantay. LPAs met with Director, Carolina Colon. Present for today's inspection are 5 staff and 21 children. The center has submitted an application to remove the toddler option from the preschool component. Hours of operation are from 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. Measurements and total capacity remain the same. All four classrooms will now be utilized by preschool children.
Playground equipment is in good condition. Drinking water is available inside and outside. The facility has 2 toilets and 4 sinks for children to utilize. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. Facility utilizes paper sign in and out. The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector located in each room, a pull down fire alarm, and a 3A40BC fire extinguisher.
Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The removal of the toddler option is effective today, 11/4/22 with a total capacity of 30 preschoolers is ready to be used when facility is ready. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days
