25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway met with Director Tamara Perry for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA observed a census of 11 preschool age children with 1 staff. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 07:45 AM to 03:00 PM.
LPA inspected all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, and outdoor play areas. Hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are in operable and safe condition. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts, cushioning was observed in areas underneath climbing equipment, and adequate shading provided. Toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. The floors appeared clean throughout the facility. Waste containers with solid waste have tight-fitting covers in each classroom. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Medications are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. LPA observed sign in/sign out records and fire drill log last conducted 11/2022.
Children records were reviewed, it was observed that each child's file contained appropriate documentation. Staff records were reviewed for all present staff. At least one staff member present today has current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification which expires 08/2024. All staff currently employed with the facility have complete files including a criminal record clearance, a health screening report, immunization records, current AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training, and documentation of their educational background, training, and/or experience.
