13 | On April 28, 2022, Licensing Analyst (LPA) Jeremey McClain met with staff member Constance Darling for the purpose of closing a complaint investigation. LPA observed 33 children supervised by seven teachers in three separate classrooms. LPA investigated allegations that staff did not honor the personal rights of children in care by yelling at them, handling them rough, and making demeaning remarks towards them. LPA also investigated the allegation that the facility is operating out of ratio. During the investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff, parents, and children. LPA made observations of teacher interactions with children and reviewed files. Evidence gathered did not support the preponderance standard to corroborate the allegations. Therefore, LPA determined the allegations to be unsubstantiated.
As a result of the investigation, no Title 22 deficiencies were issued. LPA reviewed this report with Constance and provided a Notice of Site Visit that must be posted for 30 days. |
