25 | On 04/29/2022 at 1:15 P.M., Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Arianna Manabat and Fabiola Diaz met with Licensee Margaret (Kim) McGeever for an unannounced annual / one year inspection. During the time of arrival, seven day care children were present. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance.
The home is a one-story home the off-limits areas include the three bedrooms, laundry room, back yard, and garage. Licensee explained that children play in the area between the house and the large garage. There are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in the areas accessible to children. The house has a working telephone, fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector that meet regulations. LPAs observed all the required postings. LPAs advised the licensee that if there are any poisons at the home, all poisons must be locked with a key lock or combination lock. LPAs did not observe a fireplace in the home. Licensee has all of her immunization records current. Children's roster was observed. Licensee’s CPR/First aid card had an expiration date of 07/2023. Licensee had a completed Mandated Reporter training that expires 05/20/2023. Fire drill logs were observed and the last drill was 04/01/2022.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
