32 | All present staff files were reviewed. LPAs reviewed staff transcripts and observed all staff being utilized as teachers had proof of immunizations but were not fully qualified (S1). LPA observed one staff (S1) did not have a current Mandated Reporter certificate. At least one staff had a current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification that expires April 2023. LPA observed the sample of children's files contained the appropriate documents. LPA observed a current children's roster and a fire/disaster drill log. The facility is equipped with First Aid equipment.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee Springer and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage athttps://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee Springer of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Facility Representative was encouraged to the visit the Department's website at ccld.ca.gov for information regarding child care updates, PINs, forms, regulations and legislation pertaining to child care centers. One type A deficiency was cited based on today's inspection. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
