13 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra met with Director Lisa Hester to conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings for the above complaint allegations. During the visit the toddler and preschool programs were toured. Upon arrival, present in the facility were Assistant Director and 7 staff supervising (55 preschool, 3 toddlers) children.
It was alleged that staff was taking a daycare child to a dark room out of sight from anyone else and restrained her to a cot forcing child to take a nap.
Throughout the investigation LPA observed the care of supervision of children, conducted interviews with staff, children and parents. Day care children who were interviewed did not disclose any physical abuse by staff or being forced to nap. Parents interviewed also did not disclose any information of evidence to support the above allegations. Based on the information obtained; LPA was unable to make a determination if the allegations are valid. Based on the investigation there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the allegations did or did not occur; therefore, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. No Title 22 Deficiencies cited in regards to these allegations.
Director was provided with appeals rights and an exit interview was conducted. |
