25 | On April 7th, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Soleil Marx and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway met with Director, Lisa Hester, for a licensee initiated, case management inspection. During today’s visit there was a census of zero children in care, as the facility is closed for spring break.
The Director is considering downsizing an area of the preschool and moving the infant room back to the original previous room on the preschool side of the building, which is currently being utilized by the preschool. The Director requested measurements be taken of the preschool classroom to figure out the capacity limitations for infants, before making a decision.
LPA/LPM measured the room next to the kitchen to be 261 square feet with a designated nap area that will accommodate four cribs, making the proposed capacity 7 infants. If utilizing this option, the preschool capacity would need to decrease to 87 preschool children.
LPA/LPM measured the current toddler classroom to be 469 square feet with a designated nap area that will accommodate eight cribs, making the proposed capacity 13 infants. If utilizing this option, the preschool capacity would need to decrease to 79 preschool children, and the toddler option could either be removed from the license or move to another classroom.
The Director understands that the purpose of today’s visit is for LPA/LPM to take measurements and provide director with the potential capacity limits for infants. Director understands that prior to changing classrooms, the Director must submit an application, a new fire clearance must be approved, and a pre-licensing inspection must take place.
Exit interview conducted, report reviewed with Director, Notice of Site provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
