On July 19th, 2022 at approximately 9:15am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Arianna Manabat and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Natalie Dunaway met with Licensee Lisa Hester for an unannounced annual inspection. LPA and LPM toured the facility including all activity and classroom spaces, restrooms, and outdoor play areas. Census included 34 children in care with three staff and the Director. Facility Licensee was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license. Facility hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA and LPM observed the classrooms being utilized for children in licensed care. The classrooms appeared clean including the carpets and floor. Playgound equipment and surfaces were inspected and are in good condition. Shade is provided via umbrellas. Uncontaminated drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors via water bottles and jugs. Bathrooms were clean and all sinks and toilets were in operating condition. The facility representative stated that are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises and the facility has at least one functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector. LPA and LPM observed the sign in and out sheets.

At 10:30 AM, all present staff files were reviewed. LPA and LPM verified that staff working with preschool children had the required training hours to be teacher qualified. LPA and LPM observed that at least one staff had a current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification that expires 5/13/2023.
