25 | On March 5, 2020 at 10:20am an unannounced annual inspection was made by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Ginny Badhesha and Cynthia Brannon. LPAs met with Director, Sylvia Wingfield who provided a tour of the infant rooms and outdoor play area. This facility is a full day program which operates year round, Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 5:30pm. There is currently two infant classrooms (Room #1 and Room #2). Zero to one year old infants are in Room #1, and one to two year old infants are in Room #2. Infants names are on the bottles/cups of each infant. If any food is brought by the infant's authorized representative, it is labeled with the infant's name and is only given to infant's authorized representative at the time of infant leaving this center. Infant changing tables have padded surface no less than one inch thick, covered with washable vinyl, and raised sides at least 3 inches high. Licensee was advised the sink is not to be used for food preparation. Older potty training infants/toddlers have access to toilets and sinks. Children's hand washing facilities are sanitary and in good operating condition. Toys are safe and do not have sharp points, edges or splinters, or made of small parts that can be pulled off. There is sufficient infant napping equipment, including cribs. The infant indoor and outdoor activity space is physically separate from the space used by other day care children. The playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition. Facility is in compliance with staff infant ratios. All infants are under visual observation at all times. Facility is completing a Needs and Services plan for infants quarterly as required. Staff utilized as infant teacher have three child development units in infant/toddler care. There are no bodies of water. Firearms and ammunition are not on the premises. Disinfectants, hazardous items and medications are inaccessible to children. Furniture and equipment are sufficient, age appropriate and in good repair. Rooms and floors are safe and clean. Food preparation area is clean and free of rodent and other vermin. Sanitary drinking water is available indoors and outdoors via water fountains. Staff subject to a criminal record clearance or exemption are associated to the facility. No excluded adults are present at the facility.
