25 | On 8/5/2019 at 9:20 AM, an unannounced Annual/Random inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stephanie Navarro. LPA met with Licensee, Melanie Weber and toured the facility, both indoors and outdoors. LPA obtained a census. There are no bodies of water at this facility. There are no firearms/weapons on premises. Teacher/child ratios are maintained, and adequate supervision is being provided during this visit. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other dangerous items shall be inaccessible to children. No poisons were observed during today’s visit. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. All toilets, hand washing, and bathing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All floors are clean and safe. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors. LPA observed waste containers inside the school aged classroom contained a tight fitted lid. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. Licensee stated fire drill was last conducted in 11/2019. Licensee was unable to provide documentation of fire drill. LPA observed playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
CCL shall notify a licensee to immediately terminate the employment of, or to remove/bar any person with specified convictions or for other reasons. The licensee shall comply with the notice. Before working or volunteering in a licensed child care facility, all individuals subject to a criminal record review have a clearance or exemption and have been associated to the facility. Staff records contain appropriate documentation of education credits. Staff records contain required immunization records. All staff have completed the AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training. Per staff file review, Pediatric CPR/First Aid expired 7/2019. The person, who signs the child in/out, is responsible for the child, uses their full legal signature and records the time of day. Child's admission agreement is available for review.
