25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jose Penate and Cynthia Brannon conducted a Case Management Visit this date. Met with Licensing Liaison, Maryann Moreno to inspect alternate classroom that needed to be utilized due to licensed classroom having emergency repairs completed. Room Preschool 2 (PS2) was having termite problems on 09/24/19, when maintenance arrived to inspect the issue, they verified the floor in restroom had extensive damage that needed removal of the floor and had to lay new flooring for safety of the children. Licensee has utilized an alternate classroom 30 while extensive repairs are being made. Children will resume activities in the PS2 classroom beginning this next week, on 10/07/2019.
Children are not utilizing chairs in the classroom at this time, they are utilizing the carpet only. Chairs were placed along the wall of the classroom so children could utilize them for storage, each child is assigned their own chair for storage.
Restroom that is being utilized is approximately 20 feet from classroom 30, each child is being escorted to the restroom and providing care and supervision at all times. Ratio's are being kept when children are being taken to the elementary restroom. At this time, the restroom has two toilets and one sink.
Indoor measurements were taken during today's visit. Classroom 30 measurement is 897 square feet, which will meet the capacity of 22 preschool children. There is no changes to the preschool outside play yard.
Fire clearance continues to be valid for this room.
Facility is cleared to resume operation as of today's date. Exit interview was conducted with Mary Anne Moreno.
