25 | On 01/27/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miguel Herrera and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Juvenal Moctezuma conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection and met with Owners, Marco Brewer, Lorie Brewer and Director Irma Villa. LPAs explained the reason of the inspection and a tour of the center was conducted both inside and outside. The center has a capacity of 48 preschool children and operates year round from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday. This program operates in the preschool classroom labeled "back building" and "front building". The "front building's" current capacity is 24 preschool children and the "back building's" current preschool capacity is 24 children with a total capacity of 48 preschool children. The "back building" shares its space with school age program (capacity of 25 school age children). Per the fire clearance each building cannot exceed a total capacity of 49 children.
During today's inspection the Owners decided to designate the "back building" for their preschool program and relinquished their school age program. Therefore, the "back building" will operate with a capacity of 48 preschool children.
The classrooms had age appropriate toys, furniture, and equipment appeared to be in good condition. During the inspection LPAs reviewed the facility sketch and discussed with owners that a new fire clearance must be submitted to the fire department for approval for the new classroom changes made during today's inspection.
Room measurements were taken and reviewed with the owners. Based upon the measurements taken today, the measurements provide enough indoor space for the current licensed capacity of 48 preschool children. The "back building" has a total of 5 toilets, 1 urinal and 6 sinks/hand washing fixtures.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Lorie Brewer. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, there are no deficiencies being cited during today’s inspection. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
