Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Diane Mercado, and Ginny Badhesha conducted an unannounced annual inspection today. LPAs met with Director, Maria Marmolejo, and a tour of the facility was conducted inside and outside. Staff and children were spoken to during visit. There are no bodies of water present at this facility. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed on the premises. Disinfectants, hazardous items and medications are inaccessible to children. No poisons were observed during today’s inspection. Furniture and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. The playground equipment and outdoor activity space is maintained and in good condition with adequate cushioning material. Children's toilets, hand washing facilities are sanitary. Rooms are safe and clean. Food is prepared at the Fresno EOC kitchen and brought to the facility. Facility provides breakfast and snack in the morning session. Afternoon session lunch and snack are provided. Food preparation area is clean, food and beverages are stored in covered containers at 45 degrees F or less if required, and storage containers for solid waste are covered. Drinking water is available both indoors and outside. Measures are taken to keep facility free of insects and rodents. Staff subject to a criminal record clearance or exemption are associated to the facility. No excluded individuals are present. Teacher-child ratios are maintained and adequate supervision was observed during today’s inspection. First Aid/CPR credentials were reviewed and at least one person is certified. Sign in/sign out sheets are maintained. Children’s records were reviewed to ensure proper forms are located within each child’s file. Staff records contain documentation of education, training, and/or experience. Menus are posted. This is an AM/PM half day program which operates on a traditional school year schedule. The morning session is 8:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M and the afternoon session is 12:30 A.M to 4:00 P.M, Monday through Friday. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. Facility is not providing IMS services at this time, but has an IMS plan. LPAs and Director Maria Marmolejo discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINS), Quarterly Updates, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.

Per Chapter 1, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies observed during today’s inspection. Exit interview was conducted with Director Maria Marmolejo.
