NARRATIVE

During July 2019, the facility experienced water damage. Licensee closed facility due to construction. LPA conducted a visit to measure the two infant rooms and one toddler option room. In each room there are two sinks and a changing table. Per director, licensee is not providing potty training services until the children are in preschool. The adult bathroom between the toddler and infant rooms will be designated as a staff bathroom. If licensee decides to change their policy on providing potty training, then the staff bathroom will be designated for children only. The two infant and one toddler classrooms have changing areas and two sinks. The sink closest to the diaper changing area is designated for diapering purposes only. The sink furthest away shall be used for other purposes and shall not be used for toileting purposes. Licensee has one crib room in one of the infant classroom 314. At this time, licensee is requesting only two crib babies. Licensee is aware that if more crib babies are needed, updated documentation and another inspection by Licensing will be required. In room 315, a crib area was previously required. During today's visit, the crib room will not be required. This area was included in activity space for infants. There is a working carbon monoxide on site. Per director, currently, there are no toddlers enrolled. The toddler room #309 has storage on the shelving unit. Director is aware that before the toddler room can be utilized, the storage on the shelving unit shall be removed. CONTINUED ON FOLLOWING PAGE

Infant and toddler option measurements were taken during today's visit. Director, Molly Bennett, accompanied LPA while taking measurements. The approximate inside square footage is 1186, which accommodate 16 infants and 8 toddlers, including 2 crib babies.

The infant and toddler outside play yard measurements were taken on 1/30/19. Licensee has an outside play yard waiver in place.

The following is required to be addressed before day care services can be provided:
1) All cabinets shall be anchored.
2) In toddler option classroom (309), the door leading to the outside needs an alarm.
3) A water dispenser with cup dispenser is needed to provide inside drinking water.
4) Changing pad is required for the toddler option.
5) The changing table area does not have the required height around the changing pad in infant room # 314.
6) In infant room #315 needs a changing area with frame and changing pad.
7) In the infant play yard, the rubber cushioning has large tears and cracks.

LPA will conduct a return visit to review corrections.

Per California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12, no deficiency cited during today's visit. Exit interview conducted with the director, Molly Bennett. A copy of this report need to be placed in facility file for public review. A Notice of Site Visit was posted on parent board.
