On 07/07/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Candis Rodriguez and Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) Stephanie Navarro conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA and AGPA met with Director Tasha Avalos and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 6:00pm.

There are no bodies of water. Firearms and other weapons are not allowed or stored on the premises of a childcare center. The childcare center is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors. School-age children and preschool children have separate outdoor play areas and times.

Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children, are inaccessible to children. No poisons were observed. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets, hand washing, and bathing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe.

All storage areas are kept clean, free of litter, rubbish, rodents, and other vermin. Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available both indoors and out. Menus are posted at least one week in advance where an authorized representative can view them. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.

Outdoor activity space surfaces are free of hazards. The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. The facility maintains compliance with staff-child ratios.

There is a separate, complete, and current record maintained for each child enrolled in the childcare center. Each child's record contains a medical assessment. Staff files are complete with health screening, immunization records for influenza, pertussis and measles and current documentation of completed mandated reporter training.

Upon notification from the Department, the licensee will comply and act immediately to terminate the employment of, remove from the facility or bar from entering the facility for any person it is deemed necessary while the Department considers granting or denying an exemption. The licensee shall not exceed the approved capacity of the fire clearance for the facility.

Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. At least one person trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid is present when children are at the facility or at off-site activities. Children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. The name of the child care center director or fully qualified teacher(s) designated to act in the director’s absence has been reported to the Department.
