25 | On 1/24/2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Stephanie Vega-Gonzalez and Behatriz Gonzalez conducted a Case Management. The purpose of the inspection was regarding an incident that had occurred on December 27, 2023 at the Preschool Center. LPAs met with Director, Celina Rossetti and explained the reason for the inspection. LPAs toured the facility and a census was taken of two staff and sixteen children.
On 12/27/2023 Community Care Licensing (CCL) was notified via an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) that Child 1 was reported to have an incident at preschool center. LPAs reviewed facility records and interviewed staff. LPAs confirmed that this was an isolated incident. Director, Celina Rossetti stated that she had followed the following protocols: communicating with Child 1’s parent, following up with Staff 1, and conducting a staff meeting.
Director, Celina Rossetti informed LPAs that she had conducted a verbal training the first week of January 2024 that covered supervision, and best practice for injuries. Director stated that staff were trained to communicate with parents regarding any incident a child may have in the preschool center. Director stated that the center will now use daily reports regarding incidents and communicate with parents regarding any incident a child may have. Director stated that the center will conduct another training for staff, so that they can understand how to use the daily incident report.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency cited.
