LPA Met with Director, Charlene Burch. There are no bodies of water. Firearms and other weapons are not allowed or stored on the premises of a childcare center. The childcare center is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children, are inaccessible to children. Storage areas for poisons are locked. Furniture and equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. All toilets, hand washing, and bathing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. All kitchen, food preparations and storage areas are kept clean, free of litter, rubbish, and free of rodents and other vermin. All storage containers for solid waste, including moveable bins, have tight-fitting covers that are kept on, and in good repair. Uncontaminated drinking water is readily available both indoors and out. Outdoor activity space surfaces are free of hazards. In combination programs, outdoor activity space provided for school-age children is shared with preschool children. Wavier granted for shared space during recess at separate times. The areas around or under high climbing equipment, swings, slides and similar equipment are cushioned with material that absorbs a fall. The facility maintains compliance with staff-child ratios. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. There is a separate, complete, and current record maintained for each child enrolled in the childcare center. Each child's record contains a medical assessment. A licensee's failure to comply with the department’s exclusion order after being notified of the order shall be grounds for disciplining the licensee. The department has inspection authority as specified in Health & Safety Codes. The department shall notify a licensee to remove/bar any person with specified convictions or for other reasons. The licensee shall comply with the notice. The licensee shall not exceed the approved capacity of the fire clearance for the facility. No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at any time. Prior to working or volunteering in a licensed childcare facility, all individuals subject to criminal record review have obtained a clearance or criminal record exemption, or clearance. The hours of operation are 6:30 A.M to 5:30 P.M, Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at this facility. Menus are posted. Continued 809-C

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. Licensee is aware if IMS are provided an IMS plan needs to be sent to Community Care Licensing. The following information regarding Americans with Disability Act (ADA) was provided: US Department of Justice toll free ADA Information line at (800) 514-0301(voice) and (800) 514-0383 (TDD) and website link https://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm for Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA.

LPA and Director discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINS), Quarterly Updates, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.

LPA informed Director of required lead testing of drinking water requirement per Assembly Bill 2370 and California Health and Safety Code section 1597.16, which requires licensed childcare center facilities to test their water for lead by January 1, 2023, and subsequent testing every five years after the date of the first test.

Per Chapter 1, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, no the deficiency is cited today. Exit interview was conducted with Director.

This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit form is required to be posted for 30 days.
