25 | On this date, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luisa Gavoutian conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. LPA was greeted by Teacher Nadine Ruiz and a census was taken. Present during today’s inspection were 17 children.
During the annual random inspection conducted on April 4, 2019, the facility was cited two deficiencies. LPA had observed several containers that were storing solid waste and did not have lids and facility was cited in violation of Regulation 101239(f)(1) which states “All containers used for storage of solid wastes, including moveable bins, shall have a tightfitting cover that is kept on; shall be in good repair; and shall be leakproof and rodent-proof." LPA had observed that no drinking water was available in the outdoor activity area and the facility was cited in violation of Regulation 101239.2(a) which states “Drinking water from a noncontaminating fixture or container shall be readily available both indoors and in the outdoor activity area.”
During today’s POC inspection, LPA observed that the solid waste container was equipped with a tightfitting lid. LPA also observed that uncontaminated drinking water is available in the outdoor play area through the use of an igloo and disposable cups that are kept in a cup dispenser. All deficiencies cited during the annual random inspection on April 4, 2019 have been cleared.
No deficiencies cited in the areas observed today. Exit interview conducted with Teacher Nadine Ruiz.
