13 | On 11/01/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aurelio Mendoza met with Director Monica Curry. Regarding the allegation that staff are not providing a safe environment for infants LPA Mendoza interviewed day care staff, day care director, reviewed facility records and took a census. This agency determined that the complaint is unsubstantiated. During the investigation LPA Mendoza observed staff were attentive to infants in a manner that was sensitive to meet their needs with safety at the forefront. Interviews yielded consistent narratives that infants in care are provided quality care with constant supervision. LPA Mendoza also learned that staff in rooms may not be witnessed via live recording due to a blind spot in the diaper changing area and this may not always provide credit for staff tending to the needs of all children in care while they are changing a child. Although the allegation may have happened or could be valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiencies are cited during today's visit.
An exit interview conducted with Director Monica Curry.
