25 | On 03/30/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Luisa Gavoutian conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met with Director Amy Conley, toured the facility, and took a census. The purpose of today’s inspection was to discuss an incident that was reported to Community Care Licensing (CCL) on 02/28/2022.
Director stated that on 02/25/2022, Child 1 informed the parent/authorized representative after being picked-up at the end of the day of alleged inappropriate interactions between Child 1, Child 2, and Child 3 in the Manatees classroom’s restroom. Immediately after being notified, Director spoke to Staff 1 and Staff 2, who were the staff in the children’s classroom on the date/time of the alleged incident. Staff 1 had been supervising children in the restroom and Staff 2 had been in the classroom with the remaining children at the time of the alleged incident and neither of the staff reported witnessing alleged inappropriate interactions between children in the restroom. On this date, LPA interviewed Staff 1 and Staff 2, and viewed security footage of the classroom from the date and time of the alleged incident. Staff 1 and Staff 2 denied witnessing any inappropriate interactions between children. LPA observed the security footage and it was determined that appropriate supervision was in place and no evidence was found that the alleged incident occurred. The facility took appropriate measures to address the incident, following appropriate policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
No deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.
