Floors in the facility are clean and safe. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. In the play yard directly outside classroom #4, there is a water fountain. The actual play yard is on the other side of a half wall and gate where there is no fountain. Today, LPA observed that the facility uses a pitcher and cup dispenser for water in classroom #4. LPA reviewed the requirement for children to have access to water at all times and that the pitcher should be taken to the area where the children play. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. Report continued to 809-C
