25 | On 6/10/2019 at 8:10 AM, an unannounced/annual random inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Stephanie Navarro and Caroline Harris. LPAs met with Director, Samantha Logoluso. LPAs toured the facility, both indoors and outdoors. This is a six classroom facility. There are no bodies of water or firearms at this facility. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in attendance. LPAs observed in each classroom drawer teacher supplies such as push pins, stapler, and stapler removers. Licensee is reminded all items shall remain inaccessible to children in care. Licensee removed all items and placed them in a cabinet inaccessible to children in care. No poisons were observed during today’s inspection. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. All toilets, and bathing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All floors are clean and safe. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPAs observed in classroom #5 and classroom #6 broken outlet covers and paint chipping on walls. Licensee is advised to replace outlets and spackle or paint wall areas in which are chipping. Solid waste storage vessels, including moveable bins, have tight-fitting covers on, are in good repair in each classroom. LPAs observed one trash can vessel outside in the playground area that did not have a solid tight fitted cover on. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. All foods/beverages capable of rapid spoiling are stored in covered containers at 45 (F) or less. Menus are posted at least one week in advance, where an authorized representative can view them. During inspection Director was unable to provide location of carbon monoxide detector. During inspection Director was able to have staff install one new carbon monoxide detector that meet statutory requirements. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls.
