25 | On 5/19/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yesenia Fierro, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection. LPA met with Director, Kimberly Bonjorni, who accompanied LPA on a tour of the facility, indoors and outdoors. This is a full day program which operates on a calendar year schedule for the preschool. This site is currently using two classrooms, #101 & #103. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 6:30 am to 6pm. This facility is on the site of Sunrise Church which also provides services for elementary children.
All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in attendance. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication, and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. All floors are clean and safe. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements.
Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have cushioning material in the form of wood chips to absorb falls.
Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated
Parents provide lunches for their own children. Lunches are kept in child’s cubby. The facility provides an AM and PM snack which is prepared on-site. All kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Menus are normally posted and provide proper nutritional information. Continue 809-C
