25 | An unannounced Annual/Random inspection is made today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gloria Reyes. LPA met with Director, Stephanie "Bree" Johnson. This program will operate year round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A tour of facility was conducted inside and outside. There is 1 classroom that will be used by school age children. The school age children will utilize the Voyager room when the preschool program has ended or is not in session. There are no bodies of water. Firearms/weapons are not allowed or stored on premises. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. The Department has inspection authority. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 14 children in attendance. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other dangerous items shall be inaccessible to children. Storage areas for poisons are locked. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. Currently, there are no children on medications. All toilets and hand washing are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. All floors are clean and safe. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Breakfast, lunch, and snack will be provided and prepared on site in the kitchen. All food is protected from contamination, and contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage vessels, including moveable bins, have tight-fitting covers on, are in good repair. Uncontaminated drinking water is available both indoors via igloo with disposable cups and outdoors via drinking fountains. Menus are posted at least one week in advance, where an authorized representative can view them, are dated and kept on file for 30 days, and are available on request. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. Playground equipment is in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings, and slides have bark cushioning material to absorb falls. The Preschool and School Age play yards can be used by either program as long as the children are not commingled. CCL shall notify a licensee to immediately terminate the employment of, or to remove/bar any person with specified convictions or for other reasons. The licensee shall comply with the notice.
