32 | The elevator shall remain locked/ inaccessible. The elevator is in the area utilized/licensed for preschool purposes. Per applicant, the church/public will utilize the stairwells on the east side to gain access to the third floor. Per applicants, to ensure that the church/public is not utilizing the elevator from the third floor to preschool areas, applicant will install locks on the elevator firewall doors, which will be closed and locked.
The entry way used for day care purposes, the area where parents drop off or pick up their children shall only be used for day care purposed. The church and/or public may not use the preschool entry to have access to the third floor. Per applicants, the church/public will utilize doors located east to gain access to the third floor. Licensee is planning on installing a gate and a fence to physically separate the public access to the building. LPA will review with management upon returning to the office.
Per applicants, the entry into the preschool areas, the gate entry is on the northeast. The doors will be locked and a doorbell will be installed. Applicants will send in an updated facility sketch to reflect the changes.
Currently, the church/public have access to the stairwell/building from the outside yard. Applicants has stated that this area will be used by preschool children. Therefore, to be in adherence in keeping the preschool children in a safe environment, fencing and gates are to be installed to provide physically separated areas of preschool and public usage. The preschool children will access the second floor through the west stairwell.

In Child Care, the Department requires any adult, that can have access to children in care while in a licensed facility, to be fingerprinted cleared and meet requirements as provided in Title 22 regulations. Meeting Title 22 requirements starts the process of providing quality childcare and a peace of mind to parents/guardians/child’s representatives.
Per California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12, no deficiency cited during today’s announced inspection. Exit interview conducted with applicants Keri Frazier and Kylie Barnett. A copy of this report is required to be placed in facility file for public review.
