0n 04/24/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ka Vang arrived at the daycare facility to conduct an unannounced complaint investigation to investigate the above allegation. LPA met with Site Supervisors Rachel Lick and Brooke Green. A toured of the facility was conducted and census was taken. LPA explained the allegation to Rachel and Brooke. During today’s inspection investigation, records were reviewed, and interviews were conducted with staff.

During the course of the investigation, LPA conducted facility records reviewed and interviews conducted. Per staff interview, it was confirmed that staff handled a daycare child in a rough manner. Per interview, the staff who handled the daycare child in a rough manner was terminated from employment.

Based on the information obtained during the investigation, there is a preponderance of the evidence to prove that staff handled daycare child in a rough manner; therefore, the allegation is substantiated.

Site Supervisors were provided a copy of appeal rights. A notice of site visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 days. This report shall be made available to the public upon request.

Per Site supervisors, a training of health, safety, or personal rights to children in care will be conducting with all staff members. Site supervisors will submit written proof of training materials and attendees to the Department by 05/09/2024.
