25 | On 02/05/24, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Martha De Haro and Monica Lopez, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by the Licensee, Maria Isabel Vazquez. Licensee is Spanish speaking. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 559-458-0961. Licensee’s hours of operation are 7 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the family room, daycare room, daycare bathroom, hall bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and backyard are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by the use of plastic door spinners or baby gates. This is a two-story home and stairs are inaccessible by use of baby gate. The outdoor play area is located in the backyard. It is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. There is no swimming pool or other body of water on the property. There are no firearms and ammunition in the home. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is an electric fireplace located in the family room, but it is not used during daycare hours. There are no open-faced heaters in the home. There is a working fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide detector, and smoke detector, and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. There is one dog in the home. Licensee understands the liability of pets around day care children and accepts responsibilities of any action taken by pets.
