25 | On October 17, 2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and her Husband. Licensee, her husband and one minor child reside in the home. Licensee's assistant will be her 16 year old granddaughter and her Husband, Timothy Cooper Verified licensee and licensee's assistant CPR and First Aid and expires on August 17, 2021. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on September 24, 2020.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on October 8, 2020. Fire alarm is located in the day carer room.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys, books and instructional materials in the day care room. Care and supervision will be provided in the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom #1 and romper room (day care room).
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition. Poisons are kept locked inside a shed that is located in the fenced backyard.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Licensee is advised at least one staff member with current training in pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR is to be on site at all times children are present.
