On 2/2/22 an unannounced case management visit was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Caroline Harris. LPA met with licensee Colleen Schintgen. Also present was her assistant. A census was taken and there were ten day care children present. The purpose of todays visit was to add the new day care room addition and bathroom to the day care license, so that it can be used with the children. LPA observed the new day care room addition to be free of hazardous items and keep out of reach items were placed in latched cabinets. Shelving along the walls were anchored to the walls, the room has a heater/conditioning unit that is placed high up on the far wall and is inaccessible to children. LPA observed the room to have an additional fire extinguisher, carbon alarm, fire alarm, parent board, and changing table. The LPA further observed there to be outlet covers in all outlets not in use. The LPA further observed the new day care room to have a sliding door and one window that opens to the fenced back yard. LPA also observed there to be another entrance door that was placed on the side of the house allowing access from the outside back yard into the new day care area. The licensee stated that they will use this entrance along with the front door entrance. The LPA inspected the additional bathroom, which was safe and clean. The LPA had the licensee make changes to the facility sketch.

The new day care room and bathroom currently meet the description of a safe and healthy environment for children as described in Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, and the use of those rooms are approved.

An exit interview was conducted with licensee Colleen Schintgen. No deficiencies were cited. A copy of this report was provided to the licensee and was reviewed. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. The LIC 9213 Notice Of Site Visit form is required to be posted for 30 days.
