25 | On 05/04/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jose Penate, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, Maria Perez and her assistant. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 5:00AM – 5:00PM and/or as arranged.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. This facility is licensed as a large facility of 14, there must be an additional qualified staff person present anytime the facility goes beyond the ratio for a capacity of eight. LPA toured the facility inside and outside. The accessible rooms are the living room, dining area, kitchen, children's playroom, bathroom, and office that is used as a napping room for children. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. LPA observed in the office of the home whiskey, tequila, champagne, and hand sanitizer that was accessible to children in care. Licensee removed items from the area and will no longer have items accessible to children in care.
There is a fireplace in the home and is not used during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Facility has an upstairs level, on today’s inspection LPA did not observe a barricade that did not allow children to the second floor. LPA reminded licensee that the stairs must remain barricaded at all times when children are present. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 646-9005.
LPA and licensee discussed Safe Sleep Regulations. Licensee is aware that cribs and play yards are to be kept free from all loose articles and objects while infants are sleeping, and there are no objects hanging above or attached to the crib or play yard.
