25 | On August 15, 2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s husband, licensee’s adult daughter and her two minor children. Licensee, her husband, her adult daughter and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s and Licensee’s Assistant, Alyssa Montiel, Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on July 22, 2022. Licensee states her minor daughter who is eligible age requirement will also be assisting her with the care and supervision of the day care children under licensee’s direct supervision. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on August 5, 2020.
A tour of the three bedrooms and two bathrooms home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on August 10, 2020. Fire alarm is located in the family room wall (day care room).
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys, books, instructional materials and a parents board.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition. Poisons are kept under key lock.
- Facility has 2A10BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
