25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angelica Slaughter conducted a case management inspection initiated by licensee. LPA met with licensee Aidee Sandoval. Also present were licensee’s husband/assistant Francisco Sandoval, daughter/assistant Daisy Sandoval, and daughter/assistant Elizabeth Sandoval and 11 children in care. The purpose of today's inspection was to approve the recent addition of a day care room. Licensee provided a copy of the certificate of completion certifying that all work completed in the garage conversion meets the requirements set forth in the City of Kerman Municipal Code. The garage conversion will serve as the primary day care room. The day care room has insulated full walls, new electric outlets, an electric AC/heater unit on the northeast wall, tile flooring, carpeting and a restroom. Licensee reported that other areas of the home previously used for the daycare will be off limits. The new daycare room will be accessed from the front yard through newly installed french doors. The day care room and the restroom will now be the only accessible rooms to day care children in the house. Children will not have access to the rest of the house. Meals will be prepared in the kitchen and brought into, served and eaten in the day care room. Off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by the use of a locked door leading to the rest of the house. LPA reviewed the city certificate of completion, toured the area and found it to be safe for the day care children's use.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, no deficiencies cited during today's visit.
An exit interview conducted with licensee Aidee Sandoval and a copy of this report was provided and discussed. A Notice of Site Visit Form (LIC 9213) was posted on parent's board and must remain posted for 30 days. |
