25 | On 03/08/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Luisa Gavoutian, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection. LPA was greeted by Licensee Maryuri Bravo who accompanied LPA on a tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketches (LIC 999) provided. Also present were two fingerprint-cleared live-in adult relatives and a fingerprint-cleared assistant. Present during today’s inspection were eight children. The areas of the home that are accessible to the daycare children are the play room, nook, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, hallway bathroom and fenced backyard. “Off-limits” rooms are made inaccessible by child safety gate, doorknob spinners, and lever locks.
No pets were observed during today's inspection. Swimming pool is fenced per regulation. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area. There are no firearms present in the home. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other hazardous items are inaccessible to children. Fireplace is inaccessible to children by glass screen and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, which was last serviced on 01/17/2022. LPA tested the smoke detector and carbon monoxide indicator, which were both in working condition. The home has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. Safe toys and play equipment were observed. LPA observed a baby jumper in the playroom and a baby walker in the outdoor play area. Licensee stated both the jumper and the walker were being used by an infant who is currently one year old but have not been in use since the infant began walking. Licensee removed the jumper and the walker during today's inspection and made them inaccessible.
