25 | An unannounced case management visit was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Stefanie Galvan. LPA Galvan met with licensee Chelsie Rosado. A census was taken. The purpose of today’s visit was to add the use of a permit-issued, two-room area at the back of the home which has been constructed to become the main day-care area at this facility. This area was added so that licensee's current accessible areas of her home will now be inaccessible. The new accessible area is roughly 12 feet by 35 feet and has two separate child-care rooms. One room will be for napping and the other larger room will be for child-play/activities. This new addition is adjoined to licensee's home by a french door that will remain locked during child care hours and another door that leads to the main house kitchen, which will still be used by licensee to prepare meals and snacks. The entrance to this child care facility will also be changed from the front door of the main home to the side fence area of the home. LPA observed this new room(s) to be free of hazardous items and keep out of reach items were placed in locked areas. LPA Galvan observed safe toys and child sized furniture. There is adequate heating and ventilation acceptable for child care use. Licensee made changes to the facility sketch.
The added child care room(s) currently meets the description of a safe and healthy environment for children as described in Chapter 3, Division 12, Title 22 of California Code of Regulations and the use of this room(s) is approved effective 2/17/2022.
Exit interview conducted with licensee Chelsie Rosado. Notice of site visit to be posted for 30 days |
