25 | On October 3, 2020, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, her husband and her adult son and her minor son. Licensee, her husband, adult son and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 1/19/2021. Licensee’s Assistant, Viridiana Perez’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association and expires on 3/14/2022. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on September 18, 2020.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on August 25, 2020. Fire alarm is located in the converted garage (day care room) which is an area inspected by the fire marshal who granted the fire inspection for this area and other rooms accessible to the day care children; living room, family room, kitchen, dining room area and hallway bathroom. Licensee states that the day care room will be utilized for play time, napping and arts and crafts projects.
- LPA observed children size furniture, a diaper changing table, cubbies, a high chair and an infant swing for the children, safe toys, instructional material and books.
