25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection, licensee and seven day care children. Licensee, her husband and four minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid is current. Licensee’s Assistant, Arturo Ceteno will provide LPA with a copy of his certification that he was unable to find during today's inspection. Licensee completed certification through American Heart Association and expires on 6/16/2020. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed; LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children are background cleared. Fire clearance was granted on December 19, 2019.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on December 24, 2019. Fire alarm is located on the left wall as you enter the home’s doorway.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. Children will nap in the dining room (day care room) on cots and infants will sleep inside play yards. There is a diaper changing table. LPA also observed a parent's board on the right hand side of the wall as you enter the home's doorway.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 2A10BC in the dining room (day care room) and a 3A40BC fire extinguisher in bedroom #1, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
