25 | An Annual/Random inspection was conducted at this facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), David Wilson. This program is seasonal and open from June through November. The facility is located within the Glenn County Fairgrounds. This infant with a toddler option licensed center operates (0-2 years of age in portable #1 and 18-30 months of age in portable #2). The facility's operating hours are Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 5:00 pm. There is a separate preschool license that operates (2-3 yr olds) in Portable #2 and (2.9-5 yr olds) in the cafeteria on the east side of the fairgrounds. The facility was toured inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. The items which could pose a danger to children (such as detergents, cleaning compounds and medications) were observed to be inaccessible to children. Supervisor Zamudio-Perez stated poisons are not stored on site of the facility, and none were observed to be assessable. The facility was free of flies, insects and rodents. The toys, floors, desks and other equipment and surfaces were clean, toxic free, safe and in good condition. There is uncontaminated drinking water available to children both indoors and outdoors. The children’s bathrooms were in safe and sanitary condition. The infant changing tables have at least 3" sides and there is currently one with a built-in sanitary vinyl pad that is at least 1" thick (LPA obtained a picture of this adequate per regulations changing table and will file the picture with note as such with a hard copy to CCL facility file). The toddler bathroom and hand washing area appeared to be in safe and sanitary operating condition. There was sufficient napping equipment (cribs and cots) available. A current menu was posted. Food prep areas are clean. Food is properly stored and free of contamination. Garbage cans containing solid waste have tight fitting lids. The playground was free of hazards. The playground equipment and surface areas were in safe condition. There is adequate surface to serve as cushioning for climbing structures and/or play equipment to absorb falls. There were no bodies of water observed. The supervisor stated no weapons are stored on site and none were observed. During today's inspection, staffing ratios were being met and there were seven children were being supervised by four teachers/aides. The facility was operating within the licensed capacity. LPA reviewed four staff members records from each classroom on this date and all had current CPR and First Aid certifications. Four children’s records were reviewed and in compliance. The electronic/digital sign in/out procedure was reviewed and in compliance.
