25 | On 4/8/22 at 9:45am, an annual required inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Emilia Grisak. At 9:55am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and an assistant were supervising six children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 7:30am - 5:15pm, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are all bedrooms, one bathroom, office, garage and entire upstairs, and were made inaccessible by baby gates and door locks. The children normally use the back yard as the outdoor play area and it is not fully fenced and licensee understands that constant visual supervision must be provided outside. The backyard is currently off-limits while work is being done. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard.
Six children's records were reviewed at 10:10am. LPA observed that three out of six children did not have proof of immunizations on file. Two staff records were reviewed at 10:05am. LPA observed that staff did not have current CPR First Aid on file.
There are currently two adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
