On 7/19/23 at 10:40am an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J.Snow and S.Sims met with the licensee Jaimee Tatum. At 10:45 am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistant were supervising 10 children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 7:15am to 5:15pm Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the 3 bedrooms, and were made inaccessible by locks. Children use the as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There is an above ground pool in the back yard. The pool is fully fenced with chain link & the bottom portion was made unclimable with chicken wire and mesh netting attached to the fence. The gate is self latching. There is a hot tub that is locked.
5 children's records were reviewed at noon. 2 staff records were reviewed at 11:30am. There are currently 3 adults living in the home. The Licensee reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. The licensee will background check the minor who turned 18 this month.
To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided. Please complete the survey and share your inspection experience. If you have any questions regarding the process or CARE
