25 | An Annual Random inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kiriko Lynch. The facility is located on a private site and is a combination center with multiple classrooms. Staffing ratio and capacity requirements were met during today's inspection. A review of the personnel report on 10/18/2019 indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances and/or exemptions. The program operates all year round, Monday-Friday: 2:30 PM - 6:15 PM. The classroom was toured inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. Items which could pose a danger to children (such as detergents, cleaning compounds and medications) were observed to be inaccessible to children. The toys, floors, desks and other equipment and surfaces were clean, toxic free, safe and in good condition. There is uncontaminated drinking water available to children via drinking fountains both indoors and outdoors. The children’s restrooms were in safe and sanitary condition. A separate restroom is available for staff. The children bring lunches and snacks from home. The facility is free of flies, insects, and vermin. Garbage cans containing solid waste have tight fitting lids. The playground is free of hazards. The playground equipment and surface areas were in safe condition. There are wood chips underneath climbing structures and/or play equipment to absorb falls. There were no bodies of water observed. At least one staff member present during today's inspection has current CPR and First Aid certification, and it expires 08/03/21. Five children’s records were reviewed at 2:45 p.m., and contained identification forms with authorized representative information. Several staff records were reviewed at 3:00 p.m. and education/experience requirements and health screenings were observed. Sign In/Out sheets were observed. The facility is not providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS). For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. The following information regarding the American Disabilities Act (ADA) was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm. All licensing reports are public information and must be made available upon request for at least three years. The facility was measured, and has sufficient interior and exterior activity space, as well as plumbing fixtures to meet the requested capacity increase. Capacity increase of 27 school-age children is approved today 11/26/19. The facility is in substantial compliance during today's inspection. There were no Title 22 deficiencies cited during today's inspection.
