32 | The office (located in the modular building) will be used for the isolation area for an ill child. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous substances are kept inaccessible. The kitchen area currently includes 1 large sink, 3 refrigerators, storage units, food supply, and 3 tray carts. The menu is posted. The center is providing hand written sign in and sign out. All required documents are posted. There is a carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm, and first aid kit with required supplies.
The facility has two Preschool Play Yards that are separated by a fence. Play Yard 1 is a combination of a large grass area that has a large canopy used for shade and a cement area that has large canopies for shade that is located in between Room E and the modular building where Rooms A and B are located. The combined areas measured a total of 8,910.72 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 118 children at one given time. The cement area is equipped with a water table, sand box, play kitchenette, tricycle area, a soccer area with two small soccer goals, and children's benches. Play Yard 2 is located near Room C and measured 3,767.01 square feet which is sufficient to accommodate 50 children at one given time. Play Yard 2 consists of a garden area (near the ramp by Room C), large canopy used for shade, play houses, a swing set, foam cushioning material, and a play structure that appears to be age appropriate. Both play yards are surrounded by a 4 foot high fence. Children have access to water outdoors, on both Play Yards, via water fountains. Proper supervision and placement of staff on the play yard was advised to ensure the safety of children at all times.

The new CDPH 286 form for "California Pre-Kindergarten & School Immunization Record" was provided and discussed with Director. There were no deficiencies observed during today's inspection. The Notice of Site Visit is to be posted for 30 days, LPA observed Director posting the Notice of Site Visit.
A fire clearance for 120 preschool children was granted on 12/10/2019. An increase of capacity for 105 preschool children is granted upon final review. |
