32 | Drinking water is available in all of the classrooms via water jugs and disposable cups in each classroom. There are 3 separate bathrooms for staff across the hallway from the children's restrooms. The women's staff bathroom consists of 5 toilets and 2 sinks and the men's staff bathroom consists of 3 toilets, 2 urinals, and 2 sinks. There is a staff coed restroom that consists of 1 sink and 1 toilet.
There is a nurse's office on site that consists of one toilet, one changing table, and one sink and will be used as an isolation bathroom and area for children who are ill. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other hazardous substances are kept in locked cabinets. The kitchen area currently includes 3 sinks, 1 large refrigerator, 1 large freezer, storage units, 1 grease trap (required by the city), 4 carts (to transport food to and from the classrooms). Applicant stated that 2 food warmers are to be delivered by 07/19/19. The menu is posted. The center will be providing hand written sign in and sign out. All required documents are posted. There is a carbon monoxide detector, smoke alarm, and first aid kit with required supplies.
The facility has a Preschool playground that is located directly outside of the "Rear Lobby" (as stated on the facility sketch) and was measured at 6,241.02 square feet, which is sufficient for only 83 Preschool age children at one time. The Preschool playground is complete with age-appropriate play equipment, shade area, sufficient material for cushioning, and is surrounded by a 4 foot high fence. Children have access to water outdoors via water igloo and disposable cups. This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS and has submitted a Plan of Operation. Applicant is requesting a playground waiver due to space limitation because the Preschool playground is only big enough to accommodate 83 children at one time. Proper supervision and placement of staff on the play yard was discussed to ensure the safety of children at all times. A fire clearance was granted on 06/14/19 for 160 Preschoolers.
